Vunganayi is a registered legal practitioner, notary public and conveyancer, and has wide-ranging experience in all areas of legal practice, with a deliberate bias towards corporate and commercial law practice. He was registered to practice in the Courts in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) with the CFA Institute and also has an MBA from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He is well versed with various aspects of corporate and company law, intellectual property law, international trade and investment law, mining law, foreclosures, debt collection and insurance law among other fields of law.

Mr. Chivore has attended to various matters ranging from foreclosures and debt collection for corporates, joint venture partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, mining joint ventures. He has gained experience to represent clients in all superior and lower courts dotted all over Zimbabwe. The following are some of the briefs he has handled.

  • Mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnership agreements.
  • Advising and representing corporate and individual clients in various labour disputes, including drafting of Codes of Conduct and various legal documents, advice and training thereon;
  • International business transactions involving sale of shares and joint venture agreements between mining organizations and manufacturing companies;
  • Advising a multinational mining on land and mineral rights and equipment acquisition deals;
  • Advising and representing clients in negotiations for international aircraft leasing arrangements, and drafting relevant documentation;
  • Legal advisor on the listing of companies on the Zimbabwe Stock
    Exchange and other exchanges;
  • Advising clients in transactions involving capitalisation such as rights
    issues, private placement, and capital reduction;
  • Advising clients and structuring various business transactions in
    acquisitions, procurement, construction contracts, and indigenisation
    and empowerment compliance strategies;
  • Advising clients on their rights to land and property developments;
  • Undertaking legal due diligence, structuring business acquisition
    deals, drafting agreements and representing clients in business
    acquisition negotiations involving sale of assets share;
  • Providing legal advice on banking sector regulatory and prudential
    issues and external guidelines and policy papers;
  • Rendering legal opinions,negotiating and drafting different types of
    contracts (national and transnational investment, joint ventures,
    technology transfer, mergers and acquisitions, divestures, etc.); and
  • Registration of trademarks and copyrights locally and regionally for
    various clients.
