Mrs Violet Dzingirai-Maringisanwa is a legal practitioner, notary public and conveyancer with more than 10 years experience in the legal profession. She is registered legal practitioner with the law society of Zimbabwe and is so registered to practice law in the Magistrate Courts, Labour Court, High Court , the Supreme and Constitutional courts of Zimbabwe .
Mrs Dzingirai-Maringisanwa is an expert legal advisor for corporates in commercial matters , family law matters as well as in labour and employment law . She has successfully handled complex commercial litigation such as resolving of business and commercial disputes through dispute resolution and arbitration .
She also handles the registration of trusts for the protection of assets, conveyancing law and registration of securities as well as notarial practice.
Mrs Dzingirai-Maringisanwa’s career started in human rights. In earlier years she worked in civil society with a local NGO as a Human Rights Researcher and later as a Projects Lawyer. She focused her work in representing human rights issues at a regional level that include the making of appearances before regional bodies such as the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Through her outstanding work in international advocacy, she was awarded a full scholarship by the Klau-Center for Civil and Human Rights -Notre Dame University in the United States of America and obtained a Masters of Law ( LL.M) in International Human Rights Law.
She earned her law degree LL.B (Hons) from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently studying towards obtaining a Doctor of Laws degree. She lectures in law and has had the opportunity to lecture in tax law, commercial law and contract law with Mulungushi University, in Zambia.
Mrs Dzingirai-Maringisanwa is involved in a number of charity activities and operate a human rights help desk at the law firm. She has piloted projects aimed at promoting the rights of marginalised groups especially women and girls as well as disabled members of society.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf and spending time with her family
